THE PROGRESSIVE PROGRAM

Lower Secondary, also known as Key Stage 3, is a critical phase in a pupil’s education that typically covers Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9. During these three years, EMC aims to foster intellectual curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and promote a love for learning among our pupils, guided by the principles of Montessori education.

EMC’s Lower Secondary curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, carefully designed to develop pupils' knowledge, skills, and understanding across various disciplines. Through a Montessori-inspired approach, pupils are provided with opportunities to explore and engage with their learning in meaningful ways. These subjects include:  English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Design & Technology, Computing, Art, French, and Arabic.
