ART
The Arts play a vital role in nurturing creativity, self-expression, and cultural understanding. The curriculum aims to inspire and engage students in various artistic disciplines, fostering their artistic abilities and nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
In lower secondary Arts, pupils have the opportunity to explore a range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, music, drama, and dance. The curriculum focuses on the following key areas:
Visual Arts: Pupils develop their creativity and artistic skills through exploring different mediums and techniques. They engage in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art, allowing them to express their ideas and emotions visually. Pupils learn about art history, different artistic styles, and cultural influences, and they will develop their ability to analyse and interpret visual artworks.
